Nothing comes between Kev Ponce and Parker — not even Fashion Week. It doesn’t matter if Ponce, editor at V Magazine and VMAN, is at a glossy brand dinner or holding court at the office. More often than not, you’ll find her beloved dog, Parker (Pinky for short), right beside her.

“During the tail end — pun intended — of 2020, I thought it would be best to fulfill my lifelong dream of getting a dog,” Kev says. “Somehow, the universe aligned me with the most adorable little boy named Parker.” At first, Kev was set on naming her puppy Boy, after Coco Chanel’s famed lover Arthur “Boy” Capel. But after locking eyes with Parker during the car ride home, she realized she couldn’t rename her new companion. “It was one of the few moments in my life where an experience felt like kismet. It was all written in the stars!”

Now four years old, the Havanese lives a life not too far off from that of Chanel and her circle. A regular at fashion events, Parker enjoys the many posh perks of his mother’s career. Case in point: He plays fetch with a Louis Vuitton tennis ball.
