What is Biche?
Biche is a luxury pet grooming brand founded by Alexandra Pauly on the belief that animals and animal-lovers deserve better. Biche uses vet-approved formulas, pet-safe scent, and thoughtful design to build bonding rituals for animals and their humans.

Can I use Biche products if I send my dog to a groomer?
Absolutely! Biche fits into every pet-lover’s lifestyle. Think of pet grooming like you do your own self-care routine: you get your hair cut, go to the dermatologist, and see the dentist every so often; but for the most part, you maintain the health of your hair, skin, and teeth at home. Grooming is the same: you might send your dog out to the salon, but maintaining an at-home routine is integral to your pet’s physical and emotional health.
Cloud Cleanser is ideal for regular bathing, as well as those unexpected moments (dogs have a habit of rolling in dirt, mud, and other brown substances). Après Oil is designed to be used after bathing and in between baths to maintain the coat. And of course, you can always bring both products to the dog salon (your stylist will thank you!).
Can I use Biche products on any breed of dog?
Yes! Our products are designed to be used on all breeds and coat types.
Can I use Biche products on a puppy?
Yes! Our products are gentle and safe for use on puppies.
How do I use the Cloud Cleanser?
Massage shampoo into your dog’s wet coat and rinse thoroughly. Cloud Cleanser is for external use only — please avoid eye contact.
How do I use the Après Oil?
Massage a few drops of oil between your hands and smooth over your dog’s damp or dry coat. A little goes a long way! Après Oil can be used after bathing or in between baths for a refresh. It’s for external use only — please avoid eye contact.

Are your products safe for pets?
Of course! Our products are created in collaboration with a veterinary advisor and are clean, vegan, cruelty-free, and optimized for the pH level of your pet’s skin.
Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes! Our products are free of animal-derived ingredients and never tested on animals.
How can you sell pet products without testing them on animals?
Animal testing refers to the process by which a product’s ingredients are tested for safety (i.e. force-feeding an animal an ingredient to test for toxicity). Now, animal testing is unnecessary due to innovations like in-vitro testing (tests conducted outside of a living organism), as well as the volume of pre-existing data and research on ingredient safety.
What about sustainability?
Our products are made as sustainably and ethically as possible. Our formulas are made in the USA at a local laboratory and scented by Givaudan, a global fragrance house that employs and invests in practices that reduce its environmental impact. All of our packaging is recyclable.
Are your products clean?
Biche holds itself to the same “clean standards” of many major beauty retailers in the United States. Our formulas (fragrance included) are free of phthalates, parabens, sulfates, cyclic silicones, PFAs, acetaldehydes, ethanolamines, formaldehyde, triclosan and triclocarban, EDTA, BHT, and mineral oil.
Why do your products contain fragrance?
Fragrance can powerfully elevate the user experience. Just think of the pleasure you feel when smelling your favorite perfume or soap. Of course, human beauty products can contain high levels of fragrance and notes that are overpowering for animals. Biche’s scents are developed specifically for pets and used at a very low level — 1% to 2%. We take extra care to ensure animal safety by partnering with Givaudan, a global fragrance house renowned for its commitment to safety and sustainability. Givaudan adheres to strict standards set out by The International Fragrance Association (IFRA), an organization that regulates the safe use of fragrance. IFRA regularly bans, limits, and sets criteria for the use of certain ingredients in perfumery based on scientific evidence and consumer insight. Givaudan, which is also a member of the Animal-Free Safety Assessment Collaboration (AFSA), additionally maintains its own database of potential irritants in humans and animals.
Are your fragrances all natural?
Our fragrances contain a mix of natural and synthetic ingredients at pet-safe levels. Many pet grooming brands fragrance their products with essential oils because they are plant-derived and perceived as safer than synthetic ingredients. However, “all natural” does not translate to inherently safe. Certain essential oils — including many commonly used in pet grooming products — can irritate your pet’s skin and even cause gastrointestinal upset and respiratory problems. Synthetic alternatives are often gentler on the skin. They can also be more sustainable, as they don’t require the harvesting of precious natural resources.
Can humans use Biche products?
Yes! The pH level of dog skin is more neutral than human skin, which is on the acidic side. Human shampoo and conditioners are formulated for acidic skin and too harsh for your four-legged friends — they should never be used on dogs. On the flip side, humans often find that high-quality pet grooming products work well on their own hair. While our focus is pets, our products work wonderfully on humans too.

What is your return and refund policy?
If you are not fully satisfied with your order, please reach out to care@biche.co within 14 days of your purchase with your order number and a brief description of the problem. We will do our best to find a solution.
If your order was damaged in transit, we will happily refund you. To initiate a refund, please reach out to care@biche.co with your order number and photos of the damaged product.
How do I check the status of my order?
Upon shipment of your order, you will receive an email with tracking information.
How do I cancel or edit my order?
Please reach out to care@biche.co. We will do our best to assist you but cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel or edit your order.
Where do you ship your products?
We currently ship to the continental United States (excludes Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, Alaska, and Hawaii). We are working on international expansion to the United Kingdom and the European Union.
How long will it take for my package to be delivered?
Shipping times depend on the shipment method selected at checkout. We offer two shipping methods: Standard ($7.95, 5-10 business days) and Expedited ($12.95, 2-3 business days). We offer free standard shipping on orders over $100.
