It’s hard to decide who is more striking: makeup artist Nam Vo or her Chow Chow, Sir Buffy Bearington. Between Nam’s otherworldly, glasslike skin — a trademark she calls the “Dewy Dumpling” glow — and Buffy’s woolly, voluminous coat, the two make quite an eye-catching pair.

When Nam isn’t on duty as a “Glowjob Artist,” she’s a dedicated dog stage mom. Buffy has become a fixture of her feed, sprinkled in between her hypnotic makeup tutorials and skincare tips. Nam’s fans can’t get enough — proof of the pup’s star power is the over 10,000 followers he’s amassed on his personal Instagram account, where he’s photographed strolling New York City, posing in Chanel bags, and flaunting new outfits.

Buffy is beloved, but his path to Nam’s heart is bittersweet. Last year, Nam’s first dog, a Chow Chow named Muffins Puffins, unexpectedly passed away. When Nam met Buffy, she took it as a sign that Muffins was looking out for her.

“Chows have a bad reputation, but I can assure you Buffy is the sweetest. He loves to make out and shove his blue tongue down people’s mouths,” Nam says. “I have to remind him that just because he is beautiful, it does not mean everyone wants to make out.”
