Ryder Kramer might be a "West Village Girl," but you won't catch her wearing a crop top, light-wash jeans, and white sneakers. Instead of the neighborhood's de facto uniform, she's more likely to be in an immaculately tailored suit, accompanied by her Shetland Sheepdog, Ernest.

Given Ryder’s impeccable style, it may not come as a surprise that she works at J. Meuser, a bespoke tailoring shop on Christopher Street. Around the same time she joined the store's team in operations and client communications, Ernest came into the picture.

"I was 21 and had just moved back to New York after spending six months back home in Atlanta due to COVID,” Ryder says. One day, her uncle took her to look at dogs out East. The next thing she knew, “They’re ringing a bell and everyone is congratulating me on my new puppy. I threw up outside.”

We chatted with Ryder about her favorite corner in New York City, her very famous celebrity crush, and Ernest’s grossest guilty pleasure.
